We go way back, Daria and I.

I’m not 100% sure of how we first met, although Daria would know, but I think it was through my photography company (Boehmer Photography, now Tammy Zdunich Photography).
She hired me for family photos and was such a champion of my business and talent. You always remember the ones that cheered you on, especially in the early days of discovering who you are as an artist.

Daria has continued to champion me since starting The Well Collab, and has kept me moving forward on days that I want to fall to the side. In fact, Daria and women like her, gave me what I hope to give back to women. Encouragement, support, and a launch point for their passion, projects, and purpose.

Daria is a Well Woman, which simply means she believes in what we are doing and is an active member in our community. She attends our virtual events as often as she can, is in my small group (yes, I’m spoilt) and is connected to other women of The Well. It’s really important to me that you know more about the woman behind the brand when you are looking for someone to work with, as well that I believe in the women we feature on our blog. TAMMY:
What does leadership mean to you?

DARIA:
Leadership means teaching through action; modelling the behaviour/ practicing what you preach to inspire others to follow.

TAMMY:
When did you first realize you had something to offer business professionals?

DARIA:
After I'd been selling ad campaigns to retailers for many years, WESK asked me to teach a workshop on branding. While I was teaching, I realized that business owners don't need to just understand branding, they need to fully understand sales too. I had a lot more to offer to the business community than just creating ad campaigns. I had gained vast experience in sales while learning how advertising really works. Business owners and professionals need to understand both sales AND marketing and usually this is an overwhelming area of business.

TAMMY:
Um, hello! It’s completely overwhelming!
What is the most common mistake you see people make in marketing their products?

DARIA:
Taking a scattershot approach to marketing, rather than choosing 1 or 2 tactics and doing them well.

TAMMY:

What advice would you share to help them out?

DARIA:
Choose and focus on 3 niche markets. This is the thing that will make the biggest difference in the success of your marketing.

TAMMY:
I know that’s true, as I’ve been through some coaching with you myself!
