Are you asking yourself, ‘How could you possibly use this time to strategize and pivot your thinking when you feel like the world is standing still?’

That’s the whole point. It is standing still for right now. As a business owner, time has always been the most valuable commodity. Now you have it.

There are a lot of things out of your control right now so let’s talk about some of the ways we can feel productive, and worrying is NOT one of them. I am not trying to be trite, I understand that businesses may fail or some may survive. This happens in the general ebb and flow of the daily economy never mind when you throw in a pandemic. I have been successful in business and I have failed in business. I have learnt business is always about the long game.

How can you use the time we have right now as an opportunity? Good question, here is the first course of action you can take to move forward instead of stagnating:

ONLINE, ONLINE, ONLINE

If you sell a product ~ move it online

This is the time for you to upload all those photos of your product, that you’ve been delaying because you didn’t have the time, onto an e commerce platform
Or streamline your sales platform so that both your instore and online platform are cohesive.

If you sell a service ~ consider offering it online
This is a great time to turn online. People will be looking for connections, and this is how you support them.
Investigate the best platform for you. Have you ever dreamt of teaching workshops or online courses? Take this time to develop and create your own signature style.

RESEARCH, RESEARCH, RESEARCH

You now have time for you to investigate new markets, new products, new marketing strategies, the opportunities are endless! Time to tackle that list that all business owners have but never touch due to the day to day demands.
